As for Heritage Barred Plymouth Rock - they were the first heritage breed Gareth met and I instantly knew they were special. Their barring is so fine and clear that we find them mesmerizing. They are a dual purpose breed with great foraging capabilities and hardiness. They have been around since 1849 and were once the most popular backyard chicken breed.

Our Breeding Goals for the Flock -

American Breese - These chickens will be bred for meet which we will sell on a first come first serve basis when we make them available.

Heritage Barred Plymouth Rock - We have selected chicks from experienced breeders and plan to select breeding birds that meet the breed standard. We plan to have available to local homesteaders every spring from April through June.

We also plan to have turkeys every year for purchase for home-grown holiday table fare. Click here to be on the list for fresh, locally grown turkey.

We use Indian runner ducks to help reduce the meningeal worm population and sometimes they go broody! If they are available, we will post availability on our Facebook page.
